This is really drapey, smooth shawl handwoven from village-raised, hand-reeled, naturally dyed silk. The pattern is large boxes of naga (spiritual river serpents) and flowers with center multicolored diamonds that can light the way to the spirit world when used by a shaman. Elegant blue on cream with a blued red border This textile is finished with long, sumptuous twisted gold colored fringe. A photo of the weaver holding the textile accompanies the piece that was dyed and designed by Souksakhone.
