Name: Red Yao Shaman Headscarf
This Red Yao Shaman headscarf was worn by the Shaman husband of the woman who made it and who is holding it in the photo. Her husband passed on, and his scarf was just for his use, so she sold it. Embroidered with silk on handspun, handwoven, indigo dyed cotton, this piece is also decorated in the traditional style with commercial red and white cotton strips, and the strap to hold the headscarf on the back of his head is also made of the commercial red cotton.
