This Red Dzao/Yao shoulder bag was made from a pair of used women's pants. The legs on these women's pants are heavily hand embroidered with figures important to the ethic group and village where the woman lives. This bag has little trees, gibbon paw prints, rattan basket design, and fighting cats pattern among others. The embroidery is in silk and cotton, and is embroidered on handspun, handwoven, indigo dyed cotton. The strap is handspun, handwoven, wax resist batik, indigo dyed cotton. A distinctive bag with a calm color palette.
