Name: Khamu Clothing Storage Basket Nice Patina
This Khamu clothing basket is used for storing textiles that are not in use do to season or ritual use. The basket is woven with three layers - an outer layer of rattan, a middle layer of palm frond or tobacco leaf, and an inner layer of bamboo. The straps are rattan, and are used for closing the lid and carrying the basket around in the house, not for large distances. This basket is probably at least 50 years old, and shows the patina and small dings of use. Quite lovely and useable. The price includes the cost of shipping this extra large item.
