This Red Dzao/Yao shoulder bag was made from a pair of used women's pants. The legs on these women's pants are heavily hand embroidered with figures important to the ethic group and village where the woman lives. This bag has little trees, pine trees, gibbon paw prints, rattan basket design, birds, and fighting cats pattern among others. The embroidery is in cotton and acrylic, and is embroidered on handspun, handwoven, indigo dyed cotton. A cheerful bag with an earthy but bright color palette.
