Curled tailed naga (mythological river serpents) are portrayed in pastels on the ends of this medium-wide shoulder cloth. The middle of the cloth has widely spaced staggered rows of stylized butterflies, leaving much of the rich deep blue ground visible. Butterflies are also woven in between the rows of naga. Handwoven of village raised, hand reeled, naturally dyed silk this fine textile would make a great scarf, wall hanging, or table runner. Comes with a photo of the weaver of the piece modeling her textile.
