Beautifully-crafted and shaped gathering basket of the Khamu people, handwoven in Luang Prabang Province, Laos. Tightly woven bamboo walls with unique bamboo frame. Arched bamboo feet (slight wobble on 4 feet; sits solidly on 3). Solid bamboo top rim. Short waist belt is handmade natural-fiber rope. Rope-loops tied to inside of frame with metal wire. Excellent condition with grayed patina.
