Name: Trang's Black Hmong Hoops
Traditional Black Hmong earrings handmade by our friend, translator, and guide Sho's brother-in-law Trang. These earrings are worn by pulling out the thinner portion from the spiral holding "post" and inserted through the back of the ear. As an option, and to maintain the integrity of the metal, dangling hooks are provided for permanent attachment to keep the metal from wearing through a multitude of openings (the local women put the earrings in and rarely take them out, eliminating the problem of metal fatigue). Comes with a photo of Trang making earrings at his home.
