Name: Indigo and Batik Pillowcase
Indigo dyed hemp that was village grown, hand peeled, handspun, and handwoven borders the center batik panel on this square pillow. The batik is made with a wax resist, indigo dyed, and then hand and machine appliquéd and used as the center panel on a Hmong baby carrier. The batik panel was up cycled into this lovely pillowcase, allowing the beauty of the textile to continue to be seen, Backed by indigo-dyed cotton with a zipper closure.
