Name: Tai Daeng Women'sHead Cloth
This headcloth is a true item of traditional Tai Daeng wear. Woven with a burgundy background, one end is a complex brocade (supplementary weft design) of flowers and multiple naga (mythical river serpents) including small diamond-headed naga, and crested double-headed naga with both diamond and triangle heads. The other end with a smaller band of curled-tailed naga designs would be the end first wrapped on the woman's head. Two photos of the designer and master dyer included.
