Name: Tai Daeng Woman Shaman's Head Scarf

An older (approximately 60 years), well-used, undamaged, woman shaman's head cloth, woven by the mother of the woman in the photo (who is wearing this shaman head scarf). The body of the scarf is of indigo-dyed, hand-spun cotton with silk supplemental weft brocade patterns on the other. The silk side is woven with naga (mythical river serpent) patterns and flowers, one border has Buddha in a temple. The tassels on the silk end are made of commercial printed and solid cottons and hand-spun silk. Photo comes with the item.
