Name: Spring Green & Apricot Healing Cloth
A stunning and unusual spring color palette hi-lights the traditional man/woman healing cloth patterns arranged with two "woman" patterns on the ends and a "man" pattern in the middle. The patterns are identical, but differentiated by use of color; the woman section is composed of multiple colors throughout using the discontinuous supplemental weft technique, while the man section is primarily one color, using the continuous supplemental weft technique with just one center diamond in multiple colors. The patterns throughout the textile are of two-headed naga (mythological river serpents) in both triangle and diamond headed versions, box of naga pattern, and the center diamond on the man's section representing a lantern to light the way to the spirit world. Curled-tailed naga and diamonds of flowers make up the very end borders. Comes with a photo of the designer and natural dyer wearing the textile.
