Name: Sophisticated Deep Blue Shoulder Cloth

Item#: 15324

Me Tau Mai is the artist of this sophisticated-colored shoulder cloth woven with a woman-man-woman pattern. The three sections of the textile are woven with the same pattern, but the middle section is predominantly blue, and the two end sections are a mix of colors. The deep blue background to the brown, yellow, red, and orange predominant color scheme with sparks of turquoise and green makes for a subtle palette that really shows off the artistry of the Lao Loum and Tai Daeng weaving traditions. The motifs include diamonds of flowers with insets of naga (mythological river serpents), with mythological butterflies, flowers, and hooks on the borders. This piece would be stunning on a wall or worn to a special event. A picture of Me Tau Mai modeling her textile is included with purchase.
