Name: Slate Teal Naga
Naturally-colored curled-tailed naga (mythological river serpents) nestle in the more brightly hued diamonds of naga, diamonds of flowers, rainbows (representing the hong bird whose belly is a rainbow), gently restrained within white vertical borders with colored flowers. Throughout this slate/teal background textile, the naga are woven with spiky edges, and have borders of flowers and the water pattern. The ends are finished with silk worm cocoons cut to resemble flowers, and the textile comes with a photo of the natural dyer and designer modeling her handwoven, naturally dyed, hand-reeled silk textile.
