Name: J'rai Backpack Basket
A newly made J'rai backpack basket made of natural rattan, black-painted rattan, wood, red pompoms, and green cord that appears to have been hand-twisted from a disassembled plastic tarp or bag. This was woven by a man who claimed to be 102 years old at the time of weaving. He said that, when he was a younger man, he could weave this basket in a week, but it now takes him a month or more because he no longer has the strength or stamina to complete it with that speed. Comes with a photo of the weaver with this basket (our translator is behind him) and a close-up of his wonderful face.
