Name: Hmong Necklace with Spirals
A thoroughly embossed flat choker-style neck ring made and worn by the Hmong people, this slightly golden, silver-colored piece is further decorated with three spiral plates and a multitude of flat elongated triangles that make a dramatic statement when worn. The embossing is of flowers, and the back of the necklace is finished with spiral, fern frond patterned ends. To put on the necklace, the back is opened sideways, slipped around the neck, and then it closes on its own. This piece has an inside diameter of 5 inches, and is best worn by a person with a thinner neck, like the people in Laos, or mounted in a frame and used as wall art. A striking piece!
