Name: Flower Hmong Blanket
A bright Flower Hmong blanket made of strips of solid embroidery in traditional Flower Hmong designs, this blanket would work well as a throw, twin bed topper, or as a brilliant wall hanging. The embroidery is primarily on handspun, handwoven, indigo dyed hemp, with a few pieces of commercial Chinese fabric sneaking its way in. Beautifully and meticulously hand-embroidered with yellow, orange, neon pink, purple, white, black and green Chinese yarns (synthetic), the preferred material due to its long-lasting brilliance, durability, and washability, the piece also includes small appliqued sections setting off the complexity of the embroidery. Most of the strips are being recycled from their skirts and other embroidered clothing parts, and a few small patches of new embroidery are also integrated.
