Name: Black Hmong Blanket
Exceptional Black Hmong blanket still heavily pleated from what appears to be two different skirt patterns with three panels each, this is a marvelous example of the art of batik. Each panel is made from handspun, handwoven hemp that has been wax-resist batiked and then lightly embroidered with bright pink, fuscia, and yellow yarns and appliqued in red, white, blue and green squares, diamonds, and strips. Fits a twin bed beautifully with room to cover the pillow.
