Name: Akha Backpack Basket
We were lucky to find not only this sturdy rattan backpack basket with rattan head strap and well worn carved wooden shoulder yoke, but to find it with the man who wove it and his wife who wore it! They were amused to sell, since he could make more, and thought it hysterical that we bought it. This basket has carried vegetables home from the fields, and wood from the forest for the cooking fire. Now you can use it for carrying groceries or holding items in your home. Comes with copies of the photos of the people shown here. The first is the man who wove the basket, second his wife who wore it laughing at the height difference with Maren who is wearing a basket and him watching, and third, the woman posing with two of her baskets.
